Alongside the waters of Lake Iamonia in northeast Tallahassee, surrounded by cypress and oak trees draped with Spanish moss, is the home of Becky and Keith McNeil.
Beneath the trees sit sprawling gardens that accent hand-hewn seating areas, lush grass and the animals and natural beauty of the surrounding lake.
Theirs, along with six other private homes and one community garden will be featured on the Alfred B. Maclay State Park Tour of Homes Saturday.
In its 20th year, the tour is a fundraiser for the Friends of Maclay Gardens, a chance for homeowners to showcase their hard work and for gardeners to take something doable back to their own green space.
