First Moon Paddle

On Monday, August 7th, the first Full Moon Paddle program was held at Maclay Gardens State Park. Fifteen participants and three staff were on hand for this inaugural event. Folks used kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards to get out on Lake Hall just as the full moon rose over the treetops. Wildlife sightings included bats, alligators, and an owl. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful nature and recreation experience. The next Full Moon Paddle is scheduled for Thursday, October 5th. Space is limited, so RSVP early!
